About Us
Initiated in July 2010, the Academic Support Program (ASP) was designed to enhance peer-to-peer learning at the University. This innovative program serves as a catalyst for improved and simplified understanding of various subjects, utilizing a student-facilitated learning approach. ASP is committed to acknowledging the unique needs of each student and equipping them with essential tools and resources to foster a comprehensive understanding of their academic material.
During its inaugural year, ASP selected eleven diligent students from all academic years (first through fourth) to serve as Student Members. These members were chosen by the Faculty Coordinator for their potential to effectively coordinate educational sessions. They collaborated with high-achieving and senior students, who volunteered to mentor their peers, ensuring that these educational gatherings were held outside of regular class times. This arrangement allowed for the successful completion of 50 enriching sessions in its first year, supported by 27 volunteer teaching assistants from various cohorts.

Nobody knew that this would be the start of something so big and successful....!
